Laundry Aide in Astoria, Oregon at Columbia Memorial Hospital

ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: PRIORITY RECRUITMENT Assists with washing when needed, and finishing functions of the Laundry Department as assigned. Distributes clean linens to user departments and maintains stock levels on nursing floors and clinics belonging to our facility.

Job Requirements:
Ability to understand laundry procedures and machine operations. Must have an excellent comprehension of infection control and cross contamination to insure the safety of the patients and staff.

License/Certification:
Valid drivers’ license and auto insurance preferred

Education and/or Experience:
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred with the ability to read and comprehend policies and procedures along with product information.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking, lifting along with pushing and pulling. Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs). Exposed to hot or noisy equipment; exposed to hot and humid work environment; exposed to hazards of steam heat, blood and other body secretions; cleaning agents and chemicals.
