Job Purpose - Water scarcity is one of the biggest issues in Colorado, and Resource Central’s Slow the Flow program partners with over 40 Colorado municipalities and water providers to empower residents to save water through efficient irrigation practices. To date, Slow the Flow has helped Colorado residents save over 200 million gallons of water! Join our team as a Customer Service Specialist to help further our impact by providing outstanding customer service, completing administrative tasks, and supporting the field staff.
This is a full-time, hybrid position; most work will be performed remotely from home, with approximately 10% of work required at the Boulder office or worksites in and around Fort Collins, Longmont, Boulder, Westminster, Denver, or Parker. The position starts April 27, 2026 and is expected to last through August 2026. Compensation includes $22.00/hr base pay, opportunities to earn bonuses based on exceptional attendance, cell phone stipend, paid training, and accrued paid sick leave. Principal Responsibilities
The essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Help people conserve water by becoming an expert on Slow the Flow program processes, procedures, and software; we provide training.
- Deliver outstanding customer service for all program participants, primarily via phone and email.
- Schedule Slow the Flow appointments including sprinkler evaluations and smart control clock and rain sensor installations.
- Support 15+ field staff as they provide Slow the Flow water conservation services.
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings in person, online, and on the phone.
- Assist with other Slow the Flow tasks or Resource Central programs as assigned.
- Foster Inclusion to help build a strong sense of belonging by ensuring everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included at Resource Central.
Qualifications
- Outstanding customer service skills and ability to maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age upon start date; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Computer skills and proficiency with Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word required; we provide computer equipment.
- Ability to work remotely with reliable access to the internet required.
- Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, access to a reliable automobile, and a smartphone required.
- Must pass and maintain a clean background check and driving record evaluation if offered a position.
- Travel to Boulder or other Colorado Front Range cities approximately 10% of the time required.
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs and willingness to work outside approximately 10% of the time required.
- Knowledge of water conservation, gardening, sprinkler systems, lawn removal, or low-water landscaping preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
