IT Specialist serves as part of the LifeLine Technical Operations team to support the overall
creation, implementation, and improvement of organizational operations. The Technical
Operations Team works with all operational teams to lead continual assessment and
refinement of systems to ensure efficiency involving workflow, optimal customer service, and
best lifesaving practices.
Under the guidance of the IT Systems Solutions Manager, the IT Specialist will be responsible
for maintaining the organization’s IT equipment, ensuring function and security of LifeLine
equipment at all locations, and providing basic technology support and training for staff as
needed.
The successful candidate should have a strong knowledge of tech maintenance and diagnostics,
user support, general database management, be an excellent troubleshooter, and have a keen
interest in learning new technologies. Top candidates will also have the ability to communicate
effectively and amiably with end users as well as IT professionals.
The IT Specialist will be based in our Community Animal Center, but will be on-site at each of
our locations on a regular schedule.

Technology:
- Take responsibility for hardware management, monitoring lifecycle and condition/security of equipment, conducting repairs, and communicating with the County IT Departments as directed by the IT Systems Solutions Manager.
- Provide desktop, software, and peripheral support to organizational staff.
- Support the phone systems for LifeLine locations.
- Courageously maintain the internet and wifi systems for all LifeLine.
- Support users of LifeLine’s cell phone (iphone) and Google Voice accounts.
- Assist with training new and current staff on tech and equipment across the organization.
- Support and assists the team with collection of data for timely reports, data requests for grant reports, monthly county reports, etc., as needed.
- In an effort to help save lives, assist and support org-wide departments with learning software, optimizing data collection, analysis, and reporting as needed, and troubleshooting issues when possible.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain a regular schedule for in-person support at all LifeLine locations.
- Attend meetings as needed via Zoom or in-person at all locations.
- Build relationships with team members at all locations in order to provide support and collect feedback when needed.

- Help build a community of animal welfare advocates by supporting and engaging the volunteers who aid LifeLine.
- Continue education by participating in LifeLine’s 40-hour annual training requirement.
- Exhibit exceptional stewardship by maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Compassion for animals and the people who love and care for them.
- Strong knowledge of tech maintenance and diagnostics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent record keeping and ticket maintenance.
- Proven history of end user support.
- Ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization.
- General knowledge of Animal Welfare operations and operational needs.
- Experience with Google Workspace a plus.
- Must have a means of travel that ensures prompt arrival for work shifts.
- Must pass a background check.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with Tech support and equipment
maintenance.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to unpleasant kennel smells. May encounter in passing dogs and cats that are stray, injured, diseased or vicious.
