Role Description
The General Imaging Ultrasound Account Executive is responsible for driving sales and growth of Samsung’s ultrasound products within the general imaging (GI) market segment, covering New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, and Eastern PA. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in medical device sales, experience managing expansive geographic territories, and an entrepreneurial spirit to develop new business opportunities.
Key duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:
- Sales and Territory Management: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets within the assigned territory. Identify new sales opportunities and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service, product knowledge, and support tailored to the specific needs of POC clinicians, including emergency medicine, critical care, and musculoskeletal (MSK) specialists.
- Tradeshows and Events: Lead and support regional and national trade shows, conferences, and events to promote Samsung’s ultrasound products, showcasing product advantages and generating new leads.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including clinical specialists, marketing, and product management, to ensure customers receive comprehensive support and to contribute customer insights to product development.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about competitive products, market trends, and emerging POC applications to provide valuable feedback and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- KOL Development and Management: Identify, engage, and build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders within the POC ultrasound space. Collaborate with KOLs to gather insights, drive product adoption, and support educational initiatives that highlight product benefits and best practices.

Education & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in capital medical equipment sales, preferably in the ultrasound or imaging sector.
- Education: BA/BS in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or other related discipline preferred.
- Skills: Strong territory management and organizational skills, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- KOL Engagement: Experience in identifying and collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders to drive product awareness and educational initiatives.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence healthcare professionals.
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the western U.S. territory.
- Mindset: A proactive, self-driven attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit to succeed in a competitive and dynamic market.
Competencies & Skills
- Experience with CRM, preferably Salesforce.
- You must be comfortable with technology, be able to present using a laptop, tablet, or via the web.
- Must be able demonstrate proficiency with MS Office package, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome
- Familiarity with clinical and economic outcome data, reimbursement, and managed care policies and procedures is highly desirable
Travel Requirements
- This position requires 75% of your work time to be dedicated to business travel.
- Attend trade shows as required: held in your territory, a major client is attending major shows requiring multiple reps, as requested by management.
- Maximize effectiveness of travel by booking multiple meetings and demos at each location to which you travel.
- Follow all company policies regarding travel, expenses, meetings, and meals.
- Should be able to travel internationally and overnight.
- Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record are mandatory, and background and drug testing (pre- and post-employment) is required.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or drive for extended periods.
- Interaction with x-ray devices requires adherence to strict safety protocols, including the use of dose monitoring equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
