Job Description

Chief Financial Officer
Silver Spring, MD | Hybrid | Full-Time | $145,000–$160,000

About Santé Group

Affiliated Santé Group is a growing nonprofit behavioral and mental health organization serving communities across Maryland. Across our affiliated entities, we support individuals and families through crisis services, behavioral health programs, care coordination, and community-based services that make a direct impact every day.

As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help lead the financial future of the organization alongside executive leadership.

This is not simply a finance management role — this is a key executive leadership position reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with senior leadership and the Board.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a mission-driven financial leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys building, improving, and leading systems that support organizational growth.

The ideal candidate brings strong nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, or grant-funded financial leadership experience and understands the operational realities of organizations supported by government contracts, grants, and managed care funding.

We welcome experienced nonprofit finance leaders who are ready to step into a CFO-level executive role.

What You'll Lead
  • Enterprise-wide financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

  • Financial oversight across multiple affiliated entities and programs

  • Grant and contract financial management, including compliance and reporting

  • Accounting operations, treasury, cash flow management, and internal controls

  • Audit preparation, tax filings, regulatory reporting, and GAAP compliance

  • Executive and Board-level financial reporting and presentations

  • Financial systems optimization, reporting improvements, and operational efficiencies

  • Leadership, development, and mentorship of the finance team

What You Bring
  • Senior financial leadership experience within nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, or mission-driven organizations

  • Experience managing grant-funded and/or government-funded financial environments

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, audits, compliance, and financial reporting

  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and presenting financial information to Boards or leadership teams

  • Multi-site or multi-entity financial oversight experience strongly preferred

  • Medicaid, Medicare, or managed care reimbursement familiarity is a plus

  • CPA preferred but not required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and strategically

  • Builder mindset with the ability to strengthen systems, processes, and operational structure

What We Offer
  • Salary: $145,000–$160,000 annually, based on experience

  • Hybrid work schedule (3 in-office / 2 remote after onboarding)

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 403(b) retirement plan with company match

  • Generous PTO and sick leave

  • Birthday off each year

  • Professional development opportunities

  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing mission-driven organization
