About This Position

Position summary:
-
The Advanced Practice Provider is a licensed professional who will function independently but provide outpatient care in collaboration with a Gastroenterologist. They will plan, implement, and evaluate treatment in accordance with patient care standards and physician order, as applicable. They will act as a liaison between the physician, and the patient/family, and collaborate with other health care professionals as appropriate. They may assist in the orientation of new employees and may participate in hospital or department committees.

Education:
-
Graduate of an ARC-PA-accredited physician assistant program. Master's degree preferred, or eligibility for prescriptive authority under Ohio law.
Required length and type of experience:
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting (experience in the clinical setting a plus); Clinical skills required will be dictated by the scope of services offered. Must have strong organizational skills and communication skills with the general public, in person and on the telephone.
Experience in the specialty area indicated preferred.Required licensure, certification or registry:

Current PA licensure by the State Medical Board of Ohio
