About This Position
Job Description:
DeCoach Recovery Centre has been a local leader in addiction recovery since 2016. Currently, we are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at our Hamilton location. The LPN will play a crucial role in our residential treatment program, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality medical care and support throughout their recovery journey. This position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals struggling with addiction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and support to clients undergoing addiction treatment in a residential setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
- Monitor clients' vital signs and overall health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the medical team.
- Assist with medical assessments, screenings, and intake processes for new clients.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and counselors to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Educate and counsel clients on health management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation according to regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the state of Ohio.
- Previous experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or psychiatric nursing is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Understanding of addiction and its impact on individuals and families.
- Proficient computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
