About This Position

Sales Manager - Southwest Region

JOB MISSION/SUMMARY: To grow Amor-Iimak USA sales in Southwest region, through the development of new and existing customers in accordance with Armor-Iimak sales policy. To develop/increase customer intimacy.

Key performance objectives include:

  • Expand Armor-Iimak’s market share and reach our corporate objectives.
  • Proactively stay in front of customers and ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Communicating and sharing market information and competitive intelligence across functions and locations so that sales strategy is correctly aligned with market needs.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops and implements a territory sales plan to meet corporate goals by forecasting activities and setting personal performance goals accordingly. Ensures the territory sales plan respects Armor-Iimak’s global sales policy by sales channel, customer segment, product and price.
  • Hunts for new business development opportunities in customer segments which correspond to Armor-Iimak’s sales plan. Key activities include cold calling, networking activities, participation in professional organizations, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Makes presentations to buying influencers result in new orders with new or existing customers. Ensures customer needs are accurately qualified, and their expectations align to Amor-Iimak’s capabilities.
  • Prepares pricing by product grade or other criteria that is within mutually agreed margin and pricing parameters.
  • Proactively seeks out customer feedback to facilitate a better understanding of customer needs throughout the organization to build long-term, ongoing relationships that result in deeper selling opportunities in an account.
  • Works in cooperation with the Customer Service Departments to ensure customers’ needs are met and exceeded.
  • Conducts customer technical training on product specifications and applications
  • Periodically distributes company information, newsletter and other marketing materials to customers.
  • Communicate and share market information and competitive intelligence across functions and locations so that sales strategy is correctly aligned with market needs.
  • Maintains Salesforce database, files, and necessary documentation to support the sales and marketing function.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly activity reports and sales forecasts as required.
  • Prepares monthly expense reports and respects the company’s guidelines for expenses.

The position is considered to have light physical demands that require the incumbent to communicate orally, hear at a conversational level and constantly interact with customers over telephone and in person.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The majority the job holders’ time will be spent in an office environment, or working from home, contacting customers by phone or traveling to and from a customer’s location as required.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 5-10 years of outside selling experience.
  • Reasoning Development: Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Language Development: Prepare business letters, summaries, and reports, using a prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English. Spanish is a plus.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid Driver's License
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent knowledge gained though experience.
  • Travelling: The position requires to travel 50% of the time.
  • Location: The position has to be based in Texas (Dallas / Houston area)
