The Health and Wellness Coordinator supports the overall health, safety, and well-being of our employees by serving as a trusted, on-site resource for workplace health needs. This role is responsible for responding to incidents, supporting injury-prevention efforts, coordinating wellness initiatives, and partnering with leaders to promote a safe, healthy work environment.
This position plays a key role in creating a proactive culture where employee well-being, safety, and accountability are prioritized across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for workplace injuries, illnesses, and health-related concerns Provide basic first aid care and assess situations to determine next steps Coordinate and support workers’ compensation processes, including documentation and follow-up Partner with leaders to support return-to-work and modified duty programs Maintain accurate and timely documentation of incidents, treatments, and follow-up actions Support OSHA-related compliance, reporting, and recordkeeping Assist in identifying trends and recommending proactive safety and wellness improvements Coordinate and promote employee wellness programs and initiativesSupport safety training efforts, including CPR, first aid, and general awareness Build relationships with employees to encourage reporting, prevention, and engagement in wellness efforts Operate and manage the company’s partnered telehealth program, serving as the primary point of coordination and employee support Serve as the lead medical contact for the Emergency Response Team (ERT), providing guidance and support during workplace incidents Oversee all facility AEDs and first aid kits, including monthly inspections, maintenance, and timely replacement of supplies Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure readiness for planned and unplanned regulatory audits or inspections Provide emergency response training to leaders and teams, including basic first aid, AED use, and procedures for medical emergenciesEducation and Experience
Medical background required (e.g., EMT, Paramedic, LVN/LPN, or similar clinical certification) Current and unrestricted license or certification applicable to the role in the State of Texas Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical or field experience OSHA certification preferred or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe Basic computer proficiency required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate standard software and systems efficientlyExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred Experience with workers’ compensation or occupational health processes preferredCertifications
CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain quicklySkills and Competencies
