Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Clinic Manager / Lead Physician

Job Summary

CARE Fertility is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and certified Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team at our Bedford clinic. In this role, you will support reproductive endocrinologists, nurses, and patients through various stages of fertility evaluation and treatment, including IVF, IUI, monitoring cycles, and diagnostic procedures. You will play a key role in providing exceptional patient care while maintaining a professional, empathetic, and efficient clinic environment. Experience in women's health, OB/GYN, or fertility/reproductive medicine is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Room patients efficiently, obtain vital signs, medical histories, and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, transvaginal ultrasounds, saline-infused sonohysterograms (SIS), and other fertility-related procedures.
  • Assist physicians and nurses during in-office procedures, including IUIs, endometrial biopsies, hysteroscopies, and monitoring ultrasounds.
  • Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular hormone injections (e.g., for ovulation induction or IVF protocols) as directed and educate patients on proper self-administration techniques.
  • Perform phlebotomy/blood draws for hormone level monitoring and prepare specimens for laboratory processing.
  • Provide patient education on fertility treatment plans, medication schedules, timing of procedures, and lifestyle recommendations.
  • Coordinate patient flow to ensure the clinic runs on schedule while maintaining a calm, supportive atmosphere for patients navigating sensitive fertility journeys.
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment sterilization, and inventory of medical supplies.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling follow-up appointments, processing referrals, and assisting with prior authorizations when needed.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and clinic policies to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and occasional weekend or early morning monitoring shifts as required in fertility care.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from AAMA, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent required.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in OB/GYN, reproductive endocrinology, fertility clinic, or women's health setting. Experience with fertility treatments (e.g., injections, ultrasounds) is a strong plus.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in phlebotomy and injections.
    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, especially reproductive health.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with empathy for patients experiencing infertility.
    • Ability to multitask in a high-volume, emotionally sensitive environment.
    • Proficient in EMR systems (experience with fertility-specific software a plus).
    • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email).
  • Other: Current CPR certification. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Willingness to travel occasionally to the Fort Worth location if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a fertility or IVF clinic.
  • Familiarity with fertility protocols, hormone medications, and cycle monitoring.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, given the diverse patient population in North Texas.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, retirement plan).
  • Opportunities for professional growth in a leading fertility practice established in 1989.
  • Supportive team environment focused on patient-centered care and high success rates.
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference in helping families achieve their dream of parenthood.
