Hourly Rate: $27.87
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive case management, career guidance, and support services to young adults (ages 16–24) not enrolled in school, aiming to secure employment or education. They facilitate 14 youth program elements, including job readiness, work experience, and educational support.
- Key Responsibilities
- Intake & Eligibility: Recruit and determine eligibility of potential OSY participants in accordance with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA guidelines.
- Case Management & Counseling: Develop Individual Service Plans (ISP) or Individual Employment Plans (IEP) and provide continuous counseling to address barriers to employment.
- Workforce Preparation: Teach employability skills, such as resume writing, interviewing, and workplace etiquette.
- Placement Services: Connect youth with paid/unpaid work experiences (WEX), internships, job placement, and post-secondary educational opportunities.
- Outreach & Partnerships: Collaborate with schools, juvenile justice centers, and community agencies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date participant records in case management systems (e.g., Connecting Colorado) to ensure compliance.
- Service Delivery: Ensure participants have access to the 14 required WIOA Youth Program Elements (e.g., tutoring, financial literacy,.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Related Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited College or University preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Past experience working with youth population. 3+ years relevant work experience.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems.
- Must have appropriate and valid state driver’s license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.

About Our Workforce Programs:
Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.
