Underground/Electrical Construction Technician at Horizon Lighting – Escondido, California

We are seeking skilled construction crew members to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in underground excavation, concrete finish experience, and skills with operating a variety of different types of construction equipment such as trenchers, rammers, jack hammers, and basic hand tools.

Responsibilities:

- Perform tasks such as excavating holes for light pole footings, trench paths for underground conduit, backfilling and compaction of or trenches.
-Installation of underground electrical conduit and wire systems.
-Installation of light poles, pathway and ground fixtures.
-Meter pedestal, circuit breaker and lighting control installations.
-Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
-Follow project plans and supervisor instructions.
-Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance as needed.

Requirements:

-Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
-Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
-Valid driver's license with clean DMV record.
- Knowledge of construction site operations.
-Familiarity with operating skid steers, mini excavators, and/or trenchers is a plus.
