Data Engineer at Race Winning Brands – Mentor, Ohio

JOB SUMMARY: Race Winning Brands (RWB) is the leading manufacturer of racing and high-performance parts sold to automotive and powersports markets. RWB is the preferred source for high-end pistons, engine blocks, cylinder heads, intake manifolds, connecting rods, crankshafts, clutches, transmissions, springs and other engine and driveline- related performance components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design and implement software systems

· Create systems for collecting data and for processing that data

· Use Extract Transform Load operations (the ETL process)

· Create data architectures that meet the requirements of the business

· Research new methods of obtaining valuable data and improving its quality

· Create structured data solutions using various programming languages and tools

· Mine data from multiple areas to construct efficient business models

· Collaborate with data analysts and other teams

Other duties as assigned

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in business analytics or data science or relevant field or equivalent work experience

Experience:

· 3+ years of relevant experience in business analysis

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) Data Engineer desired

· Certified Big Data Professional (CBDP) desired

Computer Skills:

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Database applications and SQL

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be able to communicate with both management and non-management associates
