Maintenance Technician at Jeffrey Chain – Morristown, Tennessee

Renold Morristown is recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Technician who who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical problems, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.

In this role, you’ll be a critical part of our operations team, maintaining and repairing the equipment that powers our manufacturing facility.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities include:
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime
• Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and other industrial machinery
• Perform equipment adjustments, alignments, and component replacements
• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment
• Maintain maintenance logs and equipment documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols
• Support continuous improvement efforts to increase equipment reliability

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

Ideal candidates will have:
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Mechanical and electrical repair experience
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, or schematics
• Experience with:
• Motors and drives
• Pneumatics and hydraulics
• Industrial electrical systems
• PLC troubleshooting (preferred)

Education or certifications in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related trades are preferred

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

This position works in a manufacturing environment and may include:
• Working around industrial equipment and machinery
• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Occasional exposure to heat, noise, and moving equipment

• Indoor/Outdoor exposure
• Working in office areas at times
• Working with vendors and contractors
