Summer Camp Site Director Manhattan & New Jersey | Youth Baseball Camps (NY Mets Camps)
NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring a Summer Camp Site Director to lead youth baseball and softball camps across Manhattan, NY and New Jersey locations during the 2026 summer season.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing daily camp operations, managing staff, ensuring camper safety, and delivering a top-tier youth sports experience. The Site Director serves as the on-site leader and is accountable for creating a positive, structured, and professional camp environment each day.
About the RoleNY Mets Camps provides the training, curriculum, and operational support you bring the leadership, energy, and accountability that ensure campers leave with improved skills, new friendships, and a love of the game.
You will manage a team of 10+ coaches and staff, oversee camp execution, and serve as the primary point of contact for parents and leadership.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead all daily camp operations across assigned locations

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of 10+ staff members

Ensure a safe, structured, and engaging camp environment

Execute Mets Camps operational standards and curriculum

Run staff meetings and set daily expectations

Communicate professionally with parents and headquarters

Address challenges in real time with strong decision-making

Support pre-season efforts including hiring, training, and logistics
-
Experienced leader with strong communication skills

Background managing teams in youth programs, camps, or sports settings
-
Passion for working with children and developing staff

Ability to lead with energy, structure, and accountability

Strong problem-solving skills and situational awareness

High level of professionalism and dependability
This is a 5-week seasonal position (MondayFriday, ~9 hours/day)

July 1317: Manhattan, NY (North Meadow Ballfields)

July 2024: West Windsor, NJ (West Windsor Little League)

July 2731: Manhattan, NY (Heckscher Ballfields)

August 37: North Caldwell, NJ (Liberty Field)

August 1014: Millburn, NJ (Gero Park)
Reliable transportation is required for travel between locations.
Qualifications-
Minimum 1+ year experience managing teams or staff

Familiarity with baseball fundamentals

Experience working with youth (ages 413 preferred)

Comfortable using technology for operations and communication

Ability to pass a comprehensive background check

Available for pre-season training and onboarding

Work outdoors across NYC and New Jersey all summer

Free tickets to select New York Mets home games

Lead a team representing a globally recognized brand

Participate in the Mets Camps end-of-summer event at Citi Field
