Senior Software Developer at NS2 Mission – Tysons, Virginia

Join a mission-focused team in the Tysons Corner, VA area delivering secure, scalable web and multimedia training solutions in support of critical government initiatives. NS2 Mission is hiring an experienced Senior Software Developer to support the full software development lifecycle—including analysis, design, development, deployment, and maintenance—of innovative web, video, and multimedia training products.

This role is responsible for product research, programming/authoring, user interface design, testing, and quality assurance. Solutions may include web-based training platforms, SharePoint sites, websites, multimedia applications, video productions, graphic design assets, and print materials.

Key Responsibilities

Support end-to-end development of web and multimedia training solutionsConduct product research and contribute to design, development, and implementation effortsDevelop and maintain web applications, multimedia products, and training platformsDesign intuitive user interfaces and ensure high-quality user experiencesPerform testing, debugging, and quality control to ensure product reliabilityConfigure and maintain enterprise application security tools, including auditing, MFA (OAuth), and RBAC solutionsDevelop and support automation and orchestration processes for Identity and Access Management (IAM) servicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutionsCommunicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholdersRequired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field10+ years of experience in software developmentTechnical Skills:

Experience working in Linux environmentsHands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2) and cloud-based architecturesExperience with Apache Web Server and Apache TomcatProficiency in development languages: Java, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQLExperience with development tools such as VS CodeExperience with Bash scriptingSecurity & IAM:

Experience configuring and maintaining enterprise application auditing tools, MFA (OAuth), and RBACUnderstanding of IAM governance frameworks, group policy management, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) toolsDemonstrated expertise in AWS infrastructure security and access controlsAdditional Skills:

Strong understanding of software development best practices (version control, testing, debugging)Ability to adapt technology solutions to meet user needsAbility to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiencesHighly Desired Qualifications

Experience migrating on-premises systems to AWS using migration toolsExperience maintaining Java and PHP applications in Windows environmentsFamiliarity with build tools such as Maven or GradleExperience with AWS Secrets ManagerExperience supporting software development efforts within the Intelligence Community (IC)
