This leadership role provides an opportunity to drive enterprise-wide revenue cycle performance and operational excellence. You will lead a team responsible for analyzing critical data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve A/R, denials, write-offs, and key metrics. The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on guidance, supporting operational leaders and cross-functional teams in implementing sustainable improvements. You will influence executive decision-making, drive process optimization, and lead initiatives that enhance financial performance and patient experience. - Lead and direct comprehensive revenue cycle improvement initiatives, including denials and write-off prevention, vendor management, data analytics, and system support
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to operational leaders to address root causes of performance gaps and achieve top decile KPI results
- Conduct risk assessments, monitor progress toward metrics, and develop action plans to drive operational and financial improvement
- Oversee the development and management of performance improvement issue logs, quantifying the impact of initiatives and prioritizing solutions
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to present findings, support decision-making, and ensure accountability for results
- Act as a liaison between data analytics, revenue cycle, and functional experts to identify and implement measurable improvements
- Develop and oversee policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations while optimizing processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 8–10 years of healthcare operations leadership or consulting experience, including revenue cycle expertise
- Proven ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights and measurable outcomes
- Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, including patient access, patient financial services, coding/HIM, and payer denials
- Experience managing multi-workstream projects, both onshore and offshore staff, with demonstrated success in change management
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills at all levels, including executive leadership
- Ability to lead, mentor, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering accountability and performance excellence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with data analytics tools and reporting systems
