  • Partner closely with engineering technicians to ensure materials, fixtures, and documentation are prepared and available for builds.
  • Provide first‑level troubleshooting and triage support during builds; document issues, root causes, and follow‑up actions.
  • Act as a day‑to‑day manufacturing engineering presence on the production floor to relieve capacity constraints on senior engineers.
  • 2) Test & Validation

  • Maintain and develop end‑of‑line (EOL) test applications in C# and Python
  • Execute environmental testing, including thermal, humidity, soak, and functional cycling tests.
  • Support refinement and execution of test protocols in collaboration with senior engineering staff.
  • Maintain test setup documentation and ensure correct configuration and version control.
  • Verify correct firmware and software loading and ensure test data integrity.
  • Aggregate, analyze, and report production and test data to identify trends and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • 3) Process, Quality & Compliance

  • Develop, update, and maintain manufacturing work instructions, routings, and assembly documentation.
  • Support UL labeling, traceability, and compliance documentation requirements.
  • Participate in engineering change activities, ensuring documentation and process updates are properly implemented.
  • Lead or co‑lead small continuous improvement projects focused on yield, throughput, quality, and cost.
  • Participate in internal audits and quality system activities as required.
  • Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, hardware, or production engineering environment.
  • Ability to code in C# and Python
  • Knowledge and understanding of electronic components and circuits.
  • Proficient working from schematics and engineering documentation, test procedures and specifications
  • Hands‑on experience supporting production builds, pilot runs, or manufacturing ramp activities.
  • Experience authoring and maintaining work instructions, travelers, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electro‑mechanical or electronic assemblies.
  • Experience supporting production test activities and interpreting test results.
  • Comfort with firmware loading and common electronic test equipment.
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments (UL or similar compliance standards preferred).
  • Desired Characteristics

  • Located within commuting distance of Boise, ID.
  • Willingness to travel to Petaluma, CA for initial onboarding and periodic cross‑site collaboration (up to ~25% initially).
  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on production floor environment.
  • Able to operate with moderate autonomy while closely aligning with engineering priorities and direction.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and effective at closing the loop on issues and documentation.
