Therapist at True Behavioral Health LP

This role reports directly to the Clinical Director/Executive Director, contributing to the objectives of FR Health and its mission. While providing individual, group and family therapy, this Licensed Marriage and Family therapist participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning and client-centered care and treatment.

Shit schedule: Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

Carry a caseload of consistent clients

Oversee the daily treatment experience of each of his/her clients

Maintain appropriate documentation as required

Conduct assessments of clients at the time of admission and re-assessments as required

Conduct mental status examinations

Provide appropriate treatment recommendations based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms

Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed

Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and staff

Crisis intervention services

Treatment Planning

Complete Additional Sessions Requests forms as required

Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues

Participates in quarterly staffing meeting

Assists with Equine assisted therapy as needed

Participates on the Critical Incident Response team on a continual basis

Other duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

Specific qualifications may vary based on assignment.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Licensed or registration with The California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LMFT, LCSW, AMFT or ACSW
Minimum of two years’ experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse
Current First Aid/CPR certification
Current TB Negative test

Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen

Solid relationship building capabilities

Conduct mental status examinations and current re-assessments as required

Provide appropriate treatment recommendations based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms

Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and staff

Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues

Ability to work as an integrated part of a treatment team

Ability to manage crises and assess risk

Excellent management of caseload (including groups, individual sessions, and family contact/sessions)

Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines in regard to patient confidentiality

Ability to establish appropriate boundaries with clients and staff

Commitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity

Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office or other environmentally controlled room. Work may expose incumbents to contagious or infectious diseases, dangerous and volatile situations, or possible bodily injury.
