Job Description:

ELLKAY is seeking a Product Manager to own and evolve LKAdapters (also referred to as Runtime, CloudBridge, Bridges, or Adapters), a foundational integration layer that enables EMR connectivity and powers interoperability across the LKOpera platform. Reporting into Product Management, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in API-based, headless products, understands healthcare integration patterns, and enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and quality to complex delivery environments. LKAdapters supports multiple integration methods and underpins critical use cases such as scheduling, patient access, clinical data retrieval, and downstream data feeds.

This role is deeply execution-focused and sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Implementation. The Product Manager is responsible for translating customer, implementation, and platform needs into clear, well-structured backlog items that drive predictable, high-quality delivery of EMR adapters and bridge capabilities.

BASE (First 3–6 Months)

  • Navigate EMR vendor marketplaces, certification and validation processes, and coordinate subject matter experts to enable access
  • Assess EMR vendor APIs, interfaces, and integration options on a recurring basis to identify lower-cost or higher-efficiency alternatives or gaps in Bridge capabilities
  • Improve product documentation including requirements, sales support materials, and release notes
GROWTH (6–12 Months)

  • Build and maintain EMR vendor relationships to expedite issue resolution and roadmap alignment
  • Align roadmap and drive expansion of ELLKAY capabilities
  • Take ownership of the roadmap and product backlog, driving predictable release execution with improved organization, documentation and quality standards
FUTURE (12+ Months)

  • Explore system and operating models that enable improved automated testing, validation, and deployment of Bridge adapters to influence how EMR integrations are developed, validated, and released at scale.
  • Position LKAdapters as a differentiated, reliable, and extensible integration layer
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Evaluate business cases for new interoperability requests, including EMR integrations and new data exchange capabilitiesBring structure to the Bridge portfolio by organizing epics, features, and stories in alignment with the roadmapImprove Jira hygiene so work items support release notes, forecasting, and client-facing communication.Break down epics into well-defined features and Jira stories and standardize requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality expectationsGather, document, and refine business and technical requirements from clients, implementation staff, and internal stakeholdersPerform initial product analysis to assess requested changes, dependencies, and downstream impactPartner with Development Leads running daily standups to ensure alignment without disrupting delivery ownershipDrive process improvements and delivery model to reduce ambiguity and delivery risk.Own backlog ordering to maximize customer and business value in alignment with strategic prioritiesRepresent customers, implementation teams, and internal stakeholders to Development with clarity and consistency.Bring new Bridge capabilities forward for executive visibility and approval when requiredWork with Marketing on product launches, sales readiness, and go-to-market materials.
Required Experience

    Experience with API-based interfacingExposure to EMR integrations and adapter-based architecturesExperience in clinical settings and clinical dataStrong command of product ownership practices including backlog management, prioritization, and refinementDemonstrated ability to write clear, structured, client-appropriate requirements and acceptance criteriaExperience in healthcare IT, interoperability, or integration-focused productsComfort working with headless, API-based, or platform productsStrong collaboration skills with Engineering, Implementation, and Product teams
Preferred / Differentiating Experience

    Experience working in Agile or Kanban delivery models4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or Product Manager in a technical environmentExperience improving delivery hygiene, documentation quality, or release processesFamiliarity with Jira best practices for reporting, forecasting, and release notesPSPO or similar Product Owner certificationExperience building or managing interoperability or integration platformsBackground in systems engineering or technically complex domainsExperience supporting one or more customer segments: Health Systems, Labs, Payers, EMRs, Data Platforms, or Health IT VendorsA demonstrated ability to bring order, predictability, and quality to complex delivery environments.
