Role Summary
The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily delivery operations, ensuring efficient route execution, on-time deliveries, and excellent customer service. This role leads and supports drivers and distribution staff while helping maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing operation. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about team development and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Conduct interviews with qualified applicants and make hiring decisionsTrain new hires to meet company standardsPerform regular coaching with employees and enforce disciplinary action when necessary while maintaining the highest safety standardsEnsure the team consistently adheres to safety policies and best practicesBe available to answer employee questions, assist with vehicle breakdowns, and respond to accidents or injuriesAssist with staffing shortages by driving routes when neededWash the interior and exterior of fleet vehiclesPerform daily and weekly vehicle inspections and address any issues identifiedComplete required reporting and paperwork with a high degree of accuracyMaintain a clean, organized Distribution Center at all timesPerform minor vehicle maintenance such as mirror repairs, tire replacements, and cargo box door adjustments or repairsCoordinate with outside mechanics and vendors for major repairs and maintenance when necessaryQualifications
Must be at least 21 years oldMust have open availability, any 7 days of the weekAbility to work afternoons, nights, and overnight shifts (2nd/3rd shift)2+ years of supervisory experience2+ years of experience in a distribution center setting2+ years of distribution driving experience2+ years of fleet safety and risk mitigation experienceAbility to perform basic vehicle maintenanceMust pass a drug test (marijuana use is not permitted)Must provide a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)Must pass a criminal background check(prior convictions are not automatic disqualifiers)Schedule
Typical schedule is 5 days per week, including some weekends, primarily focused on distribution center operations. Supervisors may provide occasional route coverage when needed to support staffing or operational needs. Shift times may include afternoon and evening hours, depending on business needs.
