BARTENDER at DBC Centennial LLC – Centennial, Colorado

PURPOSE: Mixes and serves alcoholic drinks, non-alcoholic drinks, and food to patrons of bar and service staff according to standard recipes or procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Mix ingredients to prepare drinks, serve draft beer, bottled beer, wine and liquor according to procedure/recipe and restaurant specifications.
• Work in a team environment and communicate with other employees and guests.
• Greet customers, serve food and beverage in a courteous and timely manner, create new business and avoids customer complaints.
• Perform correct money transactions adhering to proper cash handling procedures.
• Communicate with bar patrons and staff conveying specials & promotions.
• Exercise responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
• Reconcile daily bar inventories with bar cash-received totals.

OTHER DUTIES:

• Maintains a neat, clean and organized bar area according to restaurant specifications.
• Performs other functions assigned by management (i.e. take out trash, stocking, checking restrooms, bus tubs, refill ice, wash glassware, assist other FOH & HOH staff members, etc.).

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• 100 % Walk and stand.
• 75% Reach, bend, stoop, lift and wipe.
• 50% Operate cash register and/or POS system and makes correct change.
• 10% Lift and move 40-pound cases about 10 times per shift and carries items 50 yards.
• 10% Lift and move kegs up to 100lbs.

ESSENTIAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful completion of hourly position validations, including reading training materials and watching videos.
• Obtain a Responsible Alcohol Certification within 60 days of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years old to serve alcohol or as state regulations dictate.
