We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team.
Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring a smooth, patient-centered experience in our clinic. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment where teamwork and professionalism are valued.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, taking accurate vital signs and updating medical histories.
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient care as needed.
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision.
- Perform routine lab tests, specimen collection, and basic wound care.
- Maintain exam rooms, restock supplies, and ensure all equipment is clean and functional.
- Accurately document patient encounters and clinical data in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Support front desk staff when needed with scheduling, phone calls, or patient check-in/out.
- Ensure compliance with all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Our Little Rock Port clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with no weekend or holiday hours.
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy setting.
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and a strong commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Proficient in using computers and EHR systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a family practice, occupational health, or urgent care setting.
- Experience with phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with workplace health services such as pre-employment, DOT, and return-to-work exams.
- Previous experience in a clinic or healthcare environment where scheduling, insurance verification and patient registration were key functions.
