Residential Electrical Service Technician at L&S Mechanical – Summerville, South Carolina

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Residential Charleston, SC Team as a skilled Electrician with a strong understanding and background in the electrical field.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding and applying blueprints and technical diagrams
• Using various devices, including amp meters, voltmeters, and cable testers, as well as hand and power tools
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits ensuring compatibility of components.
• Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
• Installing electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, circuit breaker panels etc.).
• Installing or replacing wiring, lighting, electrical controls, breakers and other electrical devices
• Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems in homes
• Adhering to state and local building regulations
• Completing work orders on time
• Documenting the work completed and materials used
• Digital workorder management

General Requirements:

• 3+ year experience in the electrical field – Residential Electrical preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license with a 3-year clear driving record
• Troubleshooting skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to ascend/descend stairs and ladders
• Ability to move oneself in confined spaces
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance

Compensation:

• Full – Time
• Salary: $20.00 hourly - $23.00 hourly, based on experience.
