Description:

KCG has been in business for 20+ years in the government industry and has been voted one of the “Best Places to Work” for the past 5 years. KCG is seeking an Agile Product Owner to join our team.

Responsibilities

An Agile Product Owner (PO) maximizes product value by defining the vision, managing the product backlog, and acting as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team. Key duties include prioritizing user stories, accepting completed work, and ensuring the product meets customer needs and business goals.

Related activities to include, but not limited to:

  • Authoring requirements such as epics and user stories, while adhering to best practices
  • Communicating business needs to technical teams, facilitating requirements sessions, and implementing mediation and conflict resolution techniques to drive stakeholders to common understanding and agreement
  • Identifying and escalating potential requirements gaps to senior project and customer leadership
  • Conducting product demonstrations to project stakeholders
  • Working as an integrated part of a cross-functional team such as working directly with developers and SMEs
  • Conducting testing and maintain quality assurance of products
  • Translating business requirements into a functional development backlog and effectively acting as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams, ensuring alignment of work delivery to the overall product strategy and customer value
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years related experience
  • Experience using project management software such as Jira
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, or SAFe
  • Ability to abstract, synthesize, and communicate complex requirements and adapt communication approach and style depending on the audience
  • Active Secret Clearance
