Job Description
General Purpose:
The Kids Ministry Coordinator – Tradition Campus provides leadership and oversight for all Kids Ministry environments at the Tradition Campus (birth–5th grade). This role is responsible for executing the vision of Family Ministries at the campus level by developing leaders, building strong volunteer teams, and ensuring safe, engaging, and excellent ministry experiences for children and families.
Essential Job Functions:
Campus Kids Ministry Leadership
? Lead all Kids Ministry environments at the Tradition Campus (Early Childhood and Elementary)
? Ensure alignment with the vision, strategy, and standards of Family Ministries
? Create a consistent, engaging, and spiritually formative experience for children
Volunteer & Leader Development
? Recruit, train, and develop Ministry Partner Leaders and volunteer teams
? Build a strong leadership pipeline within the campus
? Provide coaching, communication, and ongoing support to volunteers
? Foster a culture of ownership, excellence, and teamwork
Weekend Experience Execution
? Oversee all aspects of Kids Ministry during weekend services
? Ensure environments are prepared, staffed, and running smoothly
? Maintain excellence in check-in, classroom transitions, and overall flow
? Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time
Family Engagement & Connection
? Build relationships with families at the Tradition Campus
? Serve as a point of connection for parents and caregivers
? Support family engagement through communication and ministry opportunities
Safety, Systems & Compliance
? Ensure all safety, security, and check-in procedures are followed
? Maintain proper volunteer-to-child ratios
? Ensure environments are clean, organized, and fully prepared
? Uphold all church policies and procedures
Alignment & Collaboration
? Partner with Central Family Ministries to implement curriculum, programming, and events
? Collaborate with the Director of Kids Programming & Events for midweek, camps, and VBS participation
? Work with Early Childhood and Elementary Directors to maintain consistency in standards and strategy
Campus Integration
? Collaborate with the Associate Pastor of Tradition Campus and other ministry leaders
? Ensure Kids Ministry is fully integrated into the overall campus experience
? Support campus-wide events and initiatives as needed

? Servant-hearted leadership, integrity, and relational maturity
? Active participation in the life of the church
Professional Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree preferred (ministry, education, or related field preferred)
? Experience leading teams and/or volunteers
? Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
? Ability to execute systems while building relationships
? Passion for children’s ministry and family engagement

? This is a full-time (40 hours/week) non-exempt position.
? This role requires presence on campus during weekend services, small groups, midweek programming, events, and camps.
