About the Role:
As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Your primary objective is to ensure customer satisfaction by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest needs or concerns promptly. You will collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate timely and accurate delivery of orders. This role requires maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or special requests.
- Collaborate with kitchen to coordinate order timing and delivery.
- Process payments and provide correct change or receipts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
Skills:
The required communication skills enable you to interact effectively with guests, ensuring their needs are understood and met promptly. Basic math and POS system familiarity are essential for accurately processing orders and payments. Organizational skills help you manage multiple tables and requests simultaneously, maintaining smooth service flow. Preferred skills such as knowledge of food safety ensure compliance with health regulations, contributing to a safe dining environment. Multitasking and teamwork skills are critical in coordinating with kitchen and bar staff to deliver timely and accurate service, enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
