Job Description

We are a fast-paced, growing heart and vascular clinic seeking a Sonographer. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong ability to multitask. As a Sonographer, you will perform all functions necessary to produce high-quality echocardiograms, stress echoes, and vascular studies.


Essential Functions of the Role:

• Able to provide direct patient care to patients in both the stable and acute care settings.

• Works with general supervision, structuring own work patterns within a general outline.

• Responsible for reporting interpretations to physicians when completed.

• Referring unusual situations or problems to the physician/supervisor

• Ability to accurately calculate in apothecary and metric systems for drug administration and document clinical information.


Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D

• Current ARDMS, CCI, or registry eligible and pass the registry within one year of the date of hire

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program

• A valid driver’s license

• ACLS Certification


Desired Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in the Cardiology field

• One (1) year of experience preferred as an ultrasound technologist. Cardiology experience preferred

• Ability to prioritize and multitask

• Deadline and detail-oriented


Work Environment

8-hour Day shift Monday to Friday


Physical Requirements

This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
