HMT is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned accounting responsibilities
• Communicate effectively with project managers and vendors
• Maintain confidentiality of company information
• Manage incoming and outgoing emails for the Accounts Payable inbox
• Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner; maintain organized records
• Research and respond promptly to vendor payment inquiries
• Create and issue purchase orders for vendors
• Reconcile vendor statements and ensure all invoices are properly recorded
• Set up and maintain vendor accounts, complete credit applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies
• Assist the finance team with documentation for audits

Qualifications & Education

Experience

• 1+ years of accounts payable and/or general accounting experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes
• Familiarity with general bookkeeping procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
