Title: VP, Controller

We are seeking a dynamic VP, Controller, who is an experienced leader with a track record of building engaged, focused teams and developing high performers. The right candidate will have a sense of urgency, the ability to improve operational efficiency through thoughtful process improvement, and a strong commitment to delivering best in class service.

About the job:

  • The VP, Controller is responsible for the overall management of the accounting and financial reporting functions of Premier America Credit Union.
  • Works closely with the CFO and members of the leadership team to implement policies, procedures and action plans that support the operations and strategic direction of the credit union.
  • Provides leadership and coordination of financial planning, financial reporting, and budget management functions.
  • Responsibilities include ensuring that proper controls, policies, and procedures are in place to maintain the integrity of Premier America’s financial data, records, and assets, producing timely and accurate consolidated financial statements, preparing variance and trend reporting to support performance analysis and decision making.
  • Oversees preparation and submission of all financial and tax reporting for the Credit Union in compliance with regulatory and audit requirements in a multi-state environment., and supporting regulatory call reporting, providing primary oversight over external auditors, and supervising staff.
Requirements:

Required Education/Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of the financial services industry, including in depth knowledge of GAAP, regulations and industry standards relating to accounting and finance.
  • Ability to assist and supervise others.
  • Well-organized and attentive to details.
  • Able to meet deadlines and manage projects.
  • Proficient in computer operations, specialized applications, and MS Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is: $170k - $210k annually.
