We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural CADD & BIM Technician to join our team in Oakville or Ottawa. In this role, you will be a key technical lead in delivering complex structural designs and high-fidelity 3D BIM models. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to translate sophisticated structural concepts into precise technical documentation, ensuring our most challenging waterfront and infrastructure projects are executed with Revit-driven accuracy.


What You Will Do

  • Lead the structural modeling of heavy civil and marine infrastructure, ensuring seamless coordination between structural Revit models and civil surface data
  • Transform initial rough designs/sketches and redlines/mark-ups into finished graphics/construction documents
  • Draft detail drawings of marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls, piers, bridges, ferry terminals, hydraulic structures, structures (steel, concrete, timber & masonry) and shoreline construction (beaches, nourishment, revetments, breakwaters)
  • Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established CAD standards
  • Interact and coordinate with all stakeholders (engineers, sampling group, construction, clients, subcontractors, government agencies, etc.)

What You Bring

  • Associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of structural drafting standards, including reinforced concrete detailing and structural steel fabrication requirements
  • Working knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural details, the development of horizontal and vertical alignments, grading, profiles, sections, quantities, surfaces, and knowledge of CAD standards
  • Sound knowledge of engineering design principles and construction methods
  • Required software experience for a senior level position:
    • Expert-level proficiency in Revit Structure with 5 + years developing complex structural families and managing central models
    • 5+ years Autodesk Civil 3D
    • 5 + years Microstation/OpenRoads Designer
  • Ideal software experience:

    • 3ds Max
