Job Description
We are looking for a technically strong, professional, proactive Intermediate Piping Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who can interface with clients and can solve problems and make decisions in real time. Travel to a local client site several days a week may be required on occasion. All other work can be performed from home or out of one of our regional Canadian offices (North Vancouver, Calgary or Montreal).
Responsibilities
- Join the Mechanical Piping team at Sacré-Davey and contribute to our culture of excellence in project delivery.
- Act as Mechanical and Piping Engineer of Record.
- Able to review and stamp key engineering deliverables such as Isometrics, Line List, and others
- Understands and implements all relevant systems, standards, practices, and procedures required by the contract.
- Understands input and effort in building engineering proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and other documents to support project development.
- Accountable for discipline spend, progress and delivery schedule to ensure project requirements are maintained.
- Provides design advice and support to designers and AutoCAD operators.
- Maintains health, safety and environmental awareness to ensure that these are considered in the design and procurement processes.
- Experience with Hydrogen gas installations an asset.
Qualifications - Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario – Required.
- Required, 5-10 years of relevant Engineering experience; (Experience in Mining, Oil & Gas, pulp and paper or biofuels industry an asset)
- Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members, proficient in oral and written communication.
- Proactive with a high degree of initiative.
- Highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under stress.
- Excellent grasp of engineering principles and engineering workflows
- Experience with pipe stress analysis software such as Caesar II, knowledge of equipment such as tanks, pressure vessels, and pumps.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
