ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Innovation & AI Analyst is a versatile, high-impact role that provides analytical and operational support across the full scope of MoFo's Practice Innovation & Technology team. You will work at the intersection of AI adoption, practice intelligence, and program operations, helping the team turn strategy into execution.

Reporting to the Director of Practice Innovation & Technology, this role supports the team's senior members across a range of workstreams: analyzing technology usage and adoption data, supporting AI pilot operations, assisting with practice intelligence initiatives, building executive-ready reports and dashboards, and helping ensure the team's initiatives stay on track and well-documented.

This is an ideal role for someone who is excited about the intersection of AI and legal services and wants to build expertise at the cutting edge of how Big Law is transforming. You will gain broad exposure to AI tools, legal workflows, knowledge strategy, and executive stakeholder management in a team that is shaping the future of how a leading global law firm operates.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze technology adoption and usage data to identify trends, surface insights, and support data-driven decision-making across the team's AI and innovation initiatives.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track AI tool adoption, pilot performance, and practice group engagement to translate raw data into compelling narratives for leadership.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support business cases, vendor evaluations, pilot assessments, and strategic planning.
  • Support KPI development and measurement, helping the team define and track metrics that capture true value beyond simple usage counts.

AI Pilot & Program Support

  • Provide hands-on operational support for AI pilots and proof-of-concept programs: managing logistics, tracking milestones, coordinating with vendors, and documenting outcomes.
  • Assist with AI tool administration: managing user access, monitoring usage, triaging support requests, and testing new features and configurations.
  • Help maintain the team's project tracking systems, ensuring all initiatives are documented and stakeholders have visibility into progress.

Practice Intelligence Operations

  • Support the Associate Director of Practice Intelligence with tactical operations, including content curation, metadata tagging, template management, and knowledge base maintenance.
  • Assist with knowledge audits and gap analyses across practice groups, helping identify areas where knowledge assets need to be developed or restructured to support AI tools.
  • Help evaluate and test practice intelligence and knowledge management technologies, contributing to assessments of tools for intelligent search, automated classification, and knowledge discovery.

Research & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor the legal innovation and AI landscape, like tracking new tools, vendor developments, competitor initiatives, and industry trends.
  • Prepare research summaries and briefings on emerging technologies and their potential application within the firm.
  • Support the team's thought leadership efforts by contributing to internal communications, case studies, and presentations about the firm's innovation program.

ABOUT YOU

  • AI Enthusiast: You are genuinely excited about artificial intelligence and its application to your own work. You follow the space, you experiment with tools, and you think critically about what's real versus what's hype.
  • Strong Communicator: You can take a complex analysis and distill it into a clear, concise narrative whether in a slide deck, a written briefing, or a conversation with a senior leader.
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: You manage multiple workstreams without dropping balls. You bring structure to ambiguity and pride yourself on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Analytically Rigorous: You know how to turn data into clear insights.
  • Collaborative & Proactive: You don't wait for assignments. You see gaps and fill them. You work effectively with colleagues at all levels, from analysts to partners.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, legal operations, knowledge management, or a related field.
