Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Street Sweeper Driver is responsible for safely operating a Class B Street sweeper for construction, commercial, industrial sites and roadways.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive commercial street sweeper and related equipment to sweep and clean streets
- Performs required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports
- Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Maintains all required certifications required by DOT
- Adheres to all OSHA and company safety programs
- Maintains and protects all property
- Informs on-duty mechanic of any maintenance issues with equipment and/or vehicles
- Maintains various records and/or logs as needed per DOT regulations
- Fuels truck at the end of each workday
- Communicates professionally and effectively with management, employees, and customers
- Have a valid Minnesota CDL Class B
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid health card and license
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Driver must be 21 years old per DOT.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

WORK CONDITIONS Outdoor environment; exposure to extreme weather conditions; work with and around heavy machinery; exposure to dust and fumes from motorized equipment; exposure to noise, odors and gases; exposure to heavy traffic conditions, possible exposure to toxic chemicals.
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
