Description:

The Educator Development Manager plays a critical role in advancing The Commit Partnership’s mission to improve student outcomes by strengthening educator effectiveness across Dallas County. This role leads and supports system-level strategies that increase the number, retention, and impact of effective educators—particularly in high-need schools and subject areas.

The Manager reports to the Director of Educator Development, and partners with school districts, educator preparation programs, and regional stakeholders to analyze data, identify root causes of educator workforce challenges, and co-develop solutions that drive measurable improvements in teaching quality and student achievement. This role requires strong data fluency, relationship-building, and the ability to translate strategy into action across diverse partners.

The salary range for this role is $80,500 - $94,000.

Please note that for external candidates, the expected salary range is approximately $80,500–$86,500.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis & Strategic Insight

  • Analyze and interpret educator workforce and student outcome data (including disaggregated data) to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Translate data into clear insights and recommendations that inform partner strategy and decision-making
  • Support partners in building capacity to use data for continuous improvement

2. Partnership Development & Capacity Building

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with district leaders, educator preparation programs, and other stakeholders
  • Co-design strategies, tools, and systems with partners to improve educator effectiveness and retention
  • Facilitate collaboration across stakeholders to align on shared goals and drive collective impact

3. Convenings & Facilitation

  • Design and facilitate convenings, working groups, and meetings that drive alignment, learning, and action
  • Ensure convenings result in clear next steps, shared ownership, and measurable progress
  • Gather and analyze feedback to continuously improve engagement and effectiveness

4. Implementation & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives, including those tied to policy, research-based practices, and technical assistance
  • Track progress toward goals, identify risks, and adjust strategies based on data and partner feedback
  • Contribute to the development of tools, resources, and systems that support high-quality execution

5. Policy & Systems Alignment

  • Track and interpret relevant education policy and research to inform strategy and partner support
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align educator development strategies with broader organizational priorities
  • Help partners understand and implement policy changes in ways that improve outcomes

6. Team & Organizational Contribution

  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
  • Support internal planning, project management, and knowledge-sharing efforts

Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Ability to create strong, trusting relationships with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Dedicated to seeking equity and track record of aligning to that end.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, including analysis and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to flexibly navigate independent responsibilities and team collaborative projects.
  • Desire to continuously incorporate feedback from the team and work with urgency, humility, and competing priorities; true team player.
  • Ability to travel within the DFW metroplex for in-person meetings on a regular basis. Some state or national travel may be required.
  • Valid state-issued drivers’ license.

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in education as a Pk-12 classroom teacher
  • Experience facilitating professional learning experiences for adults

Preferred

  • Pk-12 campus or school system leadership experience
  • Familiarity with Texas PK-12 education system in Texas
  • Familiarity with Texas educator preparation program types
  • Familiarity with public data reporting systems and reporting metrics at relevant state agencies

Work Environment

This position primarily operates in a professional office environment but may require travel to program sites, partner organizations, or community events. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in writing. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to work on a computer for extended periods
