Job Description:
The Director of Rehabilitative Services directs the operational, budgetary and personnel activities of the Rehabilitative Services Department. Develops services, policies, procedures, resource plans, and coordinates department programs, services and activities with other departments and services to meet overall hospital goals and objectives. Responsible for management and supervision of department staff.
Required Skills:
- Ability to plan and execute a full range of administrative tasks in operating a large and complex department.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and situations and realize potential effects of proposed actions.
- Knowledge of budget preparations, purchasing bookkeeping and personnel management.
- Knowledgeable of case management or social work principles and standard practices.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Knowledgeable of community resources.
- Develops effective working relationships with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
- Works well with people of all social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Flexible, open-minded and adaptable to change.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, culturally sensitive.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
Seven years of management experience in a Rehab environment, with a strong background in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Therapy.
Licensure/Certification
Texas licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist.
CPR Certification
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology required.
Training:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology.
