As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative activities of a fast-paced Human Resources Department. This includes new hire onboardings, employee records management, compliance filings, and other tasks and activities in support of the department.
The HR Specialist will interact with candidates and employees at all levels, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills. This role requires adaptability, as priorities and initiatives may shift based on organizational needs. A proactive, solutions-focused approach to HR challenges is essential.
This position is in our Victorville office, business hours Monday through Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate: Work closely across all departments to support the ongoing compliance and filing requirements for the organization.
- Coordinate Interviews: Ensure a positive experience for both candidates and hiring teams by scheduling and managing interviews.
- Onboardings: welcome new hires into the organization, ensuring both pre and post-hire activities are completed in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Training: assist in coordinating and tracking employee training sessions, certifications, and development opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with external HR consultants, legal advisors, and benefits administrators as needed.
- Positive Employee Relations: Assist with workplace wellness initiatives to enhance employee morale and engagement.
Starting Salary Range: $24.50 - $25.88
Requirements:Education & Experience: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred. Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates effectively.
Multitasking Ability: Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and other HR software. Paylocity experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Laws: Understanding of employment laws and regulations.
Clearances & Licenses: Ability to obtain Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances from the State of California/Department of Justice, and a valid California Driver’s License with a good driving record.
