The Services Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the growth of
LayerZero’s service business by managing inbound service requests, preparing quotes,
coordinating with field service teams, and ensuring customers receive timely, accurate,
and professional support. This role sits at the intersection of customer service, technical
understanding, and operational coordination.
You will work closely with Service Operations, Field Service, Engineering, and Customer
Success to ensure customers have a seamless experience from initial inquiry through
service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Sales Support
• Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound service inquiries, quotes,
and renewals.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate service offerings
(PMs, upgrades, repairs, commissioning, training, etc.).
• Prepare and deliver accurate service quotes, proposals, and order
confirmations.
• Follow up on open quotes, track status, and support conversion to scheduled
work.
• Maintain a high level of proactive responsiveness and professionalism in all
customer interactions.
• Keep the bid board current with all quotation activity
Operational Coordination
• Hand over orders to Service Operations to schedule field service technicians
and align availability with customer timelines.
• Ensure all required information (site details, safety requirements, equipment
lists, PO status) is collected before scheduling.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain when parts or materials are required for
service work.
• Track service orders from quote through completion, ensuring nothing falls
through the cracks.
Data, Systems & Documentation:
• Enter and maintain accurate customer, quote, and order data in CRM and
ERP systems.
• Maintain visibility into service backlog, open quotes, and upcoming renewals.
• Support reporting on quote volume, win/loss trends, and service revenue
pipeline.
• Ensure all documentation (SOWs, service reports, commissioning forms) is
properly stored and accessible.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
• Partner with Engineering and Field Service Leadership to understand
technical requirements and scope service work accurately.
• Collaborate with Customer Success on customer escalations or complex
service needs.
• Provide feedback to leadership on recurring customer issues, product trends,
or service opportunities.
Qualifications: Required
• 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, service
coordination, or a related role.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical information
into customer friendly language.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
• Experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment, industrial services, or
technical service environments.
• Familiarity with quoting processes, service contracts, or field service
operations.
• Ability to read or interpret basic technical documentation (equipment lists,
serial numbers, service scopes).
Performance Indicators:
• Quotes are accurate, timely, and aligned with service standards.
• Customers feel supported, informed, and confident in LayerZero’s service
organization.
• Field service teams receive complete, accurate information before arriving
onsite.
• Service revenue grows through consistent follow up and strong customer
relationships.
• Internal teams view you as a reliable, organized, and proactive partner.
