Summary:
The CW Supervisor is involved in every aspect of the core inventory process and reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing. In this role you will improve processes; oversee planning, monitor work, coach and mentor staff, and solve core warehouse related problems while improving on measureable efficiencies and supporting our overall remanufacturing process. A clear focus on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and accuracy is a crucial part of this role. Additionally this person will work hand in hand with other supervisors to create a dynamic, efficient, successful and united supervisory team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all core transactions are done properly, efficiently, and within set timeframe parameters.
- Ensure that the inventory at any given moment aligns with our finance and business systems.
- This position is the first step of many that ensures on time delivery to our customers.
- Audit accuracy of inventory in both warehouses on consistent basis
- Manage front end of the warehouse process
- Coordinate with production team (specifically disassembly and bench disassembly) to maintain correct and accurate inventory levels
- Manage direct reports on core warehouse team, ensuring process compliance such as safety training and overall support of business.
- Purchase and schedule core returns in a timely and most cost effective manner
- Interact with senior staff on daily basis to streamline processes and ensure on time core delivery within budget constraints
- Coordinate core deliveries with customers/vendors/distribution centers
- Apply lean/6 sigma to stabilize and improve manufacturing process
- Implement metrology and QC checks where needed to stabilize and monitor process
Skills, Knowledge and Requirements
- BS or equivalent based on experience
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience in receiving and shipping product and managing a crew
- Business System Savvy
- OSHA fork truck knowledge.
- Change agent, a person that wants to take our current processes to the next level.
- Lean/Six Sigma knowledge helpful but not required
