Software Engineer Intern in Fredericksburg, Virginia at QRC Technologies a Parsons Company

QRC Technologies is actively seeking a Software Engineering Intern with a focus in C++ development. The Software Engineering Intern will have opportunities to help build and design the next generation of QRC's software defined radio products.

You will gain exposure to working as part of a Scrum team within a larger Integrated Product Team (IPT) and will experience the triumphs and challenges of working on a fast-paced product team. You will gain first-hand experience within teams of Engineers that create algorithms to process signal information, apply object-oriented design principles to real world design problems, collaborate with other team members via a git-based workflow, write effective unit test to improve code reliability, and troubleshoot software defects before they reach customers.

You will collaborate with our teams of hardware engineers and install software onto system prototypes in the Engineering lab to further develop and test the systems. You will be teamed with other interns from various Engineering and Products Management disciplines to create the prototype of a product that has the potential to impact our customer base.

Qualifications:

• Basic proficiency in C++
• Student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• College Junior or Senior, or a Sophomore with the recommendation from a professor of Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office
• Due to Federal Industrial Security requirements proof of US citizenship is required
