Purchasing Clerk - Lynbrook, NY at Tek Express – Lynbrook, New York

The Procurement/Purchasing assistant is responsible for sourcing parts to help maintain a profitable and efficient parts department. He/she will accomplish objectives using proper purchasing procedures, inventory control and pricing having a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision of how the procurement department contributes to these. Duties will include and are not limited to:

· Sourcing parts for several departments

· Cost Management: must be able to identify and evaluate suppliers who can offer parts for the best price.

· Work with the Service Managers to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for jobs

· Communicating with customers, technicians, and suppliers

Essential requirements:

· Minimum 1 year purchasing experience preferably in our or similar industry

· Good negotiating skills to obtain best parts pricing

· Experience with Global Edge or S2000 a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
