Job Title : Procurement Manager
Description * To ensure that purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the Organisation to function and compete effectively in the market * To evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to safeguard against all Risks. * To create and review opportunities to implement best purchasing policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance and deliver best value and business savings. * To evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to safeguard against all contractual and commercial risks. * To provide management reports and key performance data and monitor cost savings. * To negotiate and manage contract terms with suppliers to ensure quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders and other functional areas. * To lead the development of new supply chains with small/medium enterprises to create localization and deeper capacities as per the procurement strategies. * To drive continuous improvement, best value and quality improvements within the team and departments in challenging existing practices and actively seek ways to achieve better outcomes * To contribute to ensure key performance and financial targets are met and corrective actions taken where necessary. * To report to the Management team and respective committees as may be required from time to time to provide up to date status reports on procurement. * To develop excellent and effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and external providers and other agencies to ensure strategic and operational needs are fully understood and incorporated. * To develop and maintain relationship with existing and potential suppliers * Undertaking other duties as instructed by Management.
