Special Procedures Tech at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville – Madisonville, Kentucky

Special Procedure Technologists will work closely with other Cath Lab professionals and Manager. Assist procedure physicians with various procedures that require sound judgment while in the scrub. Performs in the “scrub, monitor, and float” roles. Perform various procedure related task assigned within license scope and job description. Practices safe Radiologic Safety standards. Cross train as needed to cover Non-invasive Stress lab or other areas deemed necessary.

Associates or vocational degree from an accredited radiology program required. Successful completion of registration examination prescribed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist required. KY state license is required. BLS required. ACLS preferred within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months from date of employment. EXPERIENCE: One-year experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred and one-year training/experience in Special Procedures required. Good communication skills required. AGE APPROPRIATE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the following age groups: Adult (19 - 59 years) and geriatric (over 59 years) patients. This also includes principles of growth and development over the life span of the patient.
