Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School of the Nation's Capital is an independent, community Jewish day school that currently offers a dual curriculum of General and Judaic studies for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8. Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School is searching for Math teachers for our Elementary & Middle School Division

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspire a love of math in students through teaching.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instruction in a manner that facilitates active, student-centered learning using various teaching methods such as discussions, group activities, and occasional lectures.
• Work with students to encourage and facilitate each individual’s growth.
• Collaborate actively with math department colleagues, including on curriculum and course planning.
• Keep attendance records; manage student behavior in the classroom and maintain a positive educational environment for all students.
• Work in an organized, dependable, patient, and creative manner.

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with previous experience teaching Art of Problem Solving
• Ability to communicate, motivate, and understand the students’ educational and emotional needs.
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with other teachers, support staff, parents and members of the community.
