Job Description
The Warehouse Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing inventory, coordinating with delivery teams, and ensuring smooth logistics processes. This role plays an essential part in driving efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting cross-functional teams including R&D and installation. The ideal candidate will lead with strong organizational and communication skills while ensuring that all warehouse and delivery operations are executed safely, accurately, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily morning inventory counts and lead morning meetings to review work plans and production goals.
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including packing, pulling orders, and end-of-day production reporting.
Monitor for quality assurance issues and equipment malfunctions, addressing them promptly.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Train and mentor new warehouse and delivery team members to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
Coordinate with temp staffing services for onboarding, releasing, and scheduling of temporary workers.
Provide instruction and support for installation of new products at job sites as needed.
Collaborate with R&D and assist with testing and implementation of new products.
Manage equipment maintenance and repair to minimize downtime.
Communicate with vendors, including placing purchase orders and monitoring raw material inventory levels.
Optimize delivery routes and coordinate logistics to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Serve as a liaison between warehouse staff and other departments to resolve logistical issues and improve overall workflow.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations management.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and delivery tracking software.
Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
Prior supervisory or managerial experience.
Experience with customer service and vendor communications.
