Birth Certificate Registrar - FMC Postpartum (.6 FTE, Days) in Kirkland, Washington at EvergreenHealth

Wage Range: $22.65 - $34.75 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day collection, data entry, and submission of all birth records and data to Washington state. Assists families with completing birth forms and documentation to ensure EvergreenHealth and families submit birth information to Washington State in the required timeframe.

Primary Duties:

1. Prepares and processes all birth certificates, ensuring information submitted is accurate.
2. Maintains and updates both hospital and state birth record databases in accordance with DOH guidelines.
3. Submits Parentage and Paternity documentation within expected timeframe.
4. Submits and processes reimbursement for filed Parentage and Paternity forms.
5. Reviews completed forms for accuracy, ensuring that all fields are filled out correctly and completely.
6. Corrects or amends birth records, as needed.
7. Generates reports and maintains detailed records for auditing purposes.
8. Provides guidance to families and staff on the correct completion of all relevant forms.
9. Provides parents with a birth verification letter.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

• High School graduation or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient with medical terminology
• Possess oral and written skills to efficiently communicate and process patient information

DESIRED for the position:

• 1 year of related experience in similar setting
• Notary Public
