Wedding Event Closing Captain in Janesville, Wisconsin at 10 South LLC

Title: Closing Captain, 10 South

Role Description: Represent the venue and take fantastic care of our couples and guests in the later hours of an event. Work directly with the couple and guests, providing outstanding customer service and assisting with tasks such as the cake cutting, maintaining dance floor orderliness, assist with late night snacks and experiences, and generally take care of any and all needs of our couples and their guests.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Complete pre-shift meeting with Event Manager and review event timeline
• Greet the Security Manager and provide a brief overview of the event
• Ensure that restrooms are fully stocked throughout the evening
• Coordinate execution of toasts with DJ
• Coordinate dessert service with couple, caterer, and DJ
• Execute transition from dinner to dance floor with Security Manager
• Coordinate any late-night food service as needed
• Coordinate any late-night experiences as needed (outdoor games, firepit, etc.)
• Coordinate with couple and staff to resolve any issues that arise
• Compete Closing Checklist with Security Manager and Event Staff Member
• Cover and secure outdoor equipment
• Remove lights and hanging items as needed
• Initial pack-up of decor items as needed
• Send Event Summary to Event Manager and any applicable 10 South team members
• Complete Cleaning Checklist and leave accessible to cleaning crew and event staff
• Ensure building is locked securely upon exit from event

The Details:

• Job Type: Part-time
• Schedule: Friday–Sunday | 6:30pm-1:00am (and as late as 2:30am in rare cases)
• Work Location: 10 South
• Compensation: $200/event
