CNC Steel Machine Operator in Cocoa, Florida at Qualdoc, LLC

Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift
Pay: Up to $27.00/hour, depending on experience
2nd Shift Differential: +$3.00/hour

Join a steel fabrication team operating CNC and automated equipment used to cut, drill, saw, and process structural steel. This hands-on position combines machine operation, material inspection, production documentation, and safe material handling.

The work requires extended periods on your feet and regular handling of steel materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Set up and operate CNC and structural steel processing equipment.
• Run equipment such as:
  • Kinetic Plasma Table
  • Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line
  • Peddinghaus Angle Master
  • Ficep Beamline
• Select machine settings based on material, dimensions, and production requirements.
• Verify steel type, stock dimensions, quantities, and measurements before processing.
• Measure finished and in-process materials for accuracy.
• Mark parts with required identification and production information.
• Record daily production and material usage.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Identify machine problems and assist with basic troubleshooting.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and material transfer/conveyor systems.
• Keep the work area organized and follow required safety procedures.

• Experience operating a CNC plasma table or performing steel cutting, sawing, or drilling.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, symbols, and technical notes preferred.
• Experience with overhead cranes and material handling/conveyor equipment.
• Tekla PowerFab experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing and active for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in hot and cold industrial conditions.
• Ability to regularly lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and quality.
