Position Overview:

Serves as a patient’s advocate during the Prior Authorization approval process.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for Prior Authorization submissions on various drug therapies, Prior Authorization follow up calls to plans for determinations, creating appeal letters (reviewing and revising Letter of Medical Necessities (LMN) for grammar, punctuation, and accuracy), submitting appeals and following up on determination

Responsible for collaborating with provider offices to secure electronic medical records (EMR) such as patient charts, clinical notes, and documentation for items requested by PA team to complete prior authorizationsKnowledgeable regarding Senderra’s community values and demonstrates them daily.Participate in staff meetings and conference calls as needed.Performs other incidental and related duties as required.

Requirements:

Education / Licensing Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience Requirements:

3-5 years in pharmacy call center experience preferred.

having a Certified Pharmacy technician is a Plus

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced environment.

Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.

Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).

Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time.

Requires sitting, bending.

Uses office equipment and machinery effectively.

Requires normal finger dexterity for keyboarding.

Works effectively with frequent interruptions.

Lifting requirements of 15 pounds occasionally.

Minimal travel <10%.

Organizational Relationships:

Reports to Inside Sales Supervisor and Inside Sales Manager

Expected hours: 40 per week
