Project Manager- Fire Sprinkler Construction

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager- Fire Sprinkler Construction based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex fire protection construction projects from planning through completion while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will manage project execution, coordinate field teams and partners, and serve as a trusted point of contact for clients.
Working across industrial and commercial environments, this position combines technical expertise with project leadership and relationship management.
You will oversee schedules, budgets, compliance requirements, and operational performance while driving successful project outcomes.
The role requires strong knowledge of sprinkler systems, construction processes, and fire protection standards.

Accountabilities:

The Project Manager will oversee fire sprinkler construction projects, ensuring efficient execution, regulatory compliance, and strong client relationships from project kickoff through final delivery.

  • Manage multiple fire protection projects, including new sprinkler installations, system upgrades, and retrofit projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, field technicians, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and execution plans while monitoring progress, costs, and performance.
  • Ensure projects meet applicable NFPA standards, authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements, safety expectations, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, material availability, subcontractor schedules, and field service assignments.
  • Maintain accurate project records, documentation, reports, and communication throughout each phase of construction.
  • Review blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to support effective planning and execution.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges, identify system deficiencies, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support billing processes, resolve invoicing issues, and help ensure projects are completed within financial targets.
  • Conduct site assessments, client meetings, and technical discussions to identify needs and provide guidance.
  • Support business development activities through customer relationships, networking, and market awareness.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace safety policies.
  • Participate in continuing education and stay current with fire protection technologies, standards, and best practices.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have strong fire protection industry knowledge, proven project management experience, and the ability to successfully coordinate technical construction projects.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire protection industry, with significant experience in sprinkler systems.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, preferably within a service-oriented construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of fire protection systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
  • NICET Level II or higher certification in Water-Based Systems is preferred.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or CAPM are highly desirable.
  • Experience using project management, scheduling, and documentation software.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and project oversight as needed.
  • Flexibility to support occasional work outside standard business hours when project deadlines or emergencies require.
